We are excited to share that Dhammajarinee just completed a successful advanced robotics training with esteemed international STEM educator Dr. Stuart Kohlhagen. In just two weeks, students and teachers built on their previous technology and engineering skills and learned to write Bluetooth, Arduino, and Python code and link it to robotics with AI, engineering, 3D CAD design, and modern manufacturing. They integrated these skills to create a variety of robots, including ones that pick up garbage and answer questions about the school.
Above and beyond the hard skills, it was thrilling to see students feel empowered to solve hard problems, pursue their passions, express their creativity, and cultivate the persistence to bring their ideas to life—all dispositions that will prepare them to be successful in our 21st-century world. Please enjoy some photo highlights of the program below. The core group of teachers and students in the program will next share the knowledge with the wider school.
We express huge thanks to Dr. Kohlhagen for continuing to develop STEM education at Dhammajarinee, SC Johnson for their generous support of all the equipment, Logan’s Journey for the amazing new space for learning, and Thai engineer Somporn for his translation. Together they have made all this learning, discovery, and empowerment possible.
