We are thankful to Scholars of Sustenance (SOS) and the Ratchaburi Provincial Corporate Social Responsibility Promotion Center for donating 2,000 cans of corn to our students. SOS was founded in 2016 in Thailand to tackle the food waste and food insecurity problems, and now additionally operates throughout Indonesia and the Philippines. Scholars of Sustenance rescues good quality surplus food from restaurants, hotels, retailers, and food manufacturers seven days a week and distributes it to different vulnerable communities in need. To date, SOS Thailand programs have rescued approximately 21.6 million pounds of surplus food, served 41 million meals to 3,750+ communities, and reduced 24,874 tons of CO2 creation if the food were wasted in landfills.
